Gifts from the Heart
Feel the tug of your heartstrings and help those who help others! Heritage Fund established the Gifts from the Heart program in 2005 to help agencies and organizations with funds at the community foundation. These funds have been established by agencies or individual donors to support Bartholomew County not-for-profit organizations. They provide annual support for the good work of these agencies and organizations in our community. A gift from your heart in any size will help ensure their good work forever!
Agency Non-Endowed Funds
United Way of Bartholomew County The Mission of United Way of Bartholomew County is to encourage and lead the people of our community to care for each other and to share resources to meet human needs and to create lasting community change. We accomplish our mission by soliciting gifts of money and volunteer time from individuals and organizations and by distributing that money where it will do the most good. In addition to those core responsibilities, we provide quality office space at low prices at a co-location of over 35 human service agencies, and we partner with other entities in initiatives to make our community a better place for all of us. www.uwbarthco.org
Volunteers in Medicine Clinic A free healthcare clinic staffed by volunteer physicians, nurses, pharmacists and community members. Medical, dental and specialty services are provided to Bartholomew County residents who are without access to quality healthcare. The patients served at VIM are not receiving publicly funded health insurance such as Medicare or Medicaid. They are often employed for low wages and reduced hours, making health insurance unaffordable. www.crh.org
