Our Impact

Areas of Impact

Recently, Heritage Fund staff and board, along with community advisers and stakeholders, dedicated themselves to creating strategies and funding priorities to make advancements in our impact areas of Downtown Vitality, Youth Development and Arts, Culture & Architecture.

Youth Development

Heritage Fund seeks to improve the quality of life for ALL children in Bartholomew County by leveraging our resources and working with partners to achieve positive outcomes in the following focus areas:

  • Early Learning
  • Youth Mental Health
  • Social Emotional Learning

We want to leverage our investment in youth development with other partners across the community to ensure that we can have the greatest impact on the lives of local children.

Downtown Vitality

Heritage Fund seeks to develop our community’s current assets to help make our downtown a vibrant and thriving place for all community members. As we look toward the future of our downtown, we are searching for how it can grow to meet the evolving needs of our community. Heritage Fund will continue to explore how our existing assets can be further developed in the downtown area to support future growth.

Arts, Culture & Architecture

Heritage Fund seeks to enhance our community’s experience with and connection to arts, culture, architecture and design. Bartholomew County has a storied history of supporting the arts and is lucky to now hold many assets of arts, culture, architecture and design. We see it as a responsibility to not only maintain but grow these assets to celebrate who we have been and who we strive to be as a community. Heritage Fund will support the work of our strong arts & culture organizations to amplify their collective work and find new opportunities for programming, collaborations and broad community initiatives.
