Heritage Fund's  “Love Where You Live” Campaign, launched in 2019, benefits its Community Fund. Through this annual campaign, we provide opportunities to celebrate our community and give back to the projects, programs, and organizations that have made it so special.

The Love Where You Live Campaign seeks to raise funds to be invested for the long-term benefit of the community.  Individuals as well as local businesses are encouraged to “Love Where You Live” with a donation to the campaign to support community initiatives.

The Community Fund is critical to addressing changing needs in the community.  These funds are invested and annual returns allow Heritage Fund to address community needs as they arise.  Community Fund grants since 1976 include rebuilding The Commons, pre-K initiatives, opioid abuse prevention and millions of dollars in support to our local nonprofit agencies.

In 2021, donor designations and grants from the Community Fund allowed HFBC to grant funds to the following initiatives:

  • $9,000 to Servants at Work to build accessibility ramps at homes of those with mobility issues

  • $22,000 to Love Chapel to support strategic planning that will help serve more individuals in need

  • $25,000 to Columbus Area Arts Council to create a community gathering space via the 6th Street Arts Alley project

  • $15,343 to Gleaners Food Bank to develop a mobile food pantry for seniors requiring meal assistance

  • $2,340 to Just Friends Adult Daycare to pilot a music therapy program for its clients

The 2021 campaign unveiled a new design on November 1, 2021 by local artist Kevin Zeigler.  Kevin is a cartoonist and illustrator whose work primarily focuses on characters, storytelling and design.

This year’s design focuses on the people that make our community a special place.  Heritage Fund certainly couldn’t do the work we do without the many donors, volunteers and friends of Heritage Fund.
