Covid-19 Organizational Resiliency Grants Program
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused much disruption in Bartholomew County. Nonprofit organizations have worked tirelessly to provide immediate relief to those who need it most. Their response has demanded creativity, flexibility, and compassion. Bartholomew County nonprofits have responded in impressive ways. That response has not come without high costs to our local nonprofit network. Organizations have been burdened with decreases in revenue at the same time that they have seen an increase for their services. Health and safety guidelines have prompted many organizations to move their services online for virtual delivery, incurring unexpected technology costs. Remaining in-person services now require extensive personal protective equipment and policies to prevent the spread of COVID-19. While costs have risen, fundraising has decreased for many organizations who rely on public support for their daily operations. Government assistance has helped, but to this point has mostly been regulated to specific operational costs. Heritage Fund's COVDI-19 Organizational Resiliency Program aims to assist local nonprofits with organization needs identified in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This competitive grants program will fund needs that ensure the long-term sustainability and resilience of local nonprofit organizations. Total funding for the program is $100,000. Eligible organizations are encouraged to submit requests up to $10,000 in funding to assist with organizational needs.
